Bleeding Hearts: one of my very favorite spring flowers.
This morning I went to the National Arboretum in search of cherry blossoms. I didn’t find many. I did, however, find lots of beautiful tulips.
A lazy day today as I attempted to get back on Eastern time from Pacific…
There’s a pretty decent chance I will be out of town and completely miss the cherry blossoms this year. So, I’m taking plenty of photos of the early blooming trees I find now.
Silly, cold spring. Sigh.

Poor, wilting flowers. I feel your pain. It’s too early for it to be quite this hot.
These gorgeous flowers are all over the gardens outside of the Botanic Gardens in DC. I love them. They’re so pretty and they photograph so well.
What a long week. A walk on the Mall in the sunshine was exactly what today needed. :)
Daffodils are popping up all over the city!
